We have no provenance for this beautiful and relatively strong silk lampas with cotton in the weft yarn, but the pattern is probably from the 17th century. It is a thick jacquard-woven late baroque half-silk with two warps. One in deep green silk and one in neutrally colored in the warp and mulberry silk + wool in the weft. The original fabric was handwoven at 59 cm wide, but this fabric is woven in a modern jacquard loom and then two lengths are woven in width. This means that the fabric has a seam/border in the middle of the fabric.

This fabric is sold by the meter and the price is stated per meter.

Material: Warp 1 is 100% silk, warp 2 is a mix of viscose and linen and wefts of 100% cotton.
