Silk & cotton brocade Theater Meiningen red

Strong yet supple silk-cotton brocade in the Neo-Renaissance style, originally made for the Theater Meiningen. The original fabric was hand-woven with a width of 60 cm. This fabric is woven in modern machines, where two lengths are woven next to each other, which can make the fabric look a bit disjointed in the middle.
