Silk brocade Extravagant

Extravagant brocatelle with a large lush neo-baroque pattern in purple and white. The fabric is woven with two lengths in parallel and can therefore look a little strange in the middle of the fabric. The original fabric is handwoven on a width of 55cm and to utilize the capacity of the modern weaving machine, two lengths are woven in parallel in this way. It is a jacquard-woven brocatelle with mulberry silk in the warp and synthetic fiber in the weft - a quality we call half-silk. Unfortunately, we do not have the provenance of this fabric.
